Congratulations to Courtney Wittekind of Carnegie Mellon University, our 2011 Scholarship Winner!

Courtney designed her own study abroad experience completely on her own, coordinating with a Thai university that has never hosted an international student before, hiring a private Burmese language tutor (although she speaks some Burmese already) and arranging a home stay in Thailand. Courtney will be studying, documenting and assisting Burmese refugees living in Thailand.
