Team Approach

A team approach is used to assist both Kymanox and its clients.  Below is a summary of some current Kymanox team members:



Stephen Perry, PMP

Manager

Stephen is the founder and president of Kymanox.  He has over a decade of cGMP biopharma manufacturing experience as a chemical engineer and project manager.  Before starting Kymanox, Stephen had various leadership roles supporting successful scale-up, start-up and commercialization initiatives at Abbott Laboratories, Covance Biotechnology Services, Diosynth Biotechnology and Human Genome Sciences.

Justin Pawlik

Technical Project Management

Justin is an experienced technical, quality, and operations manager with a background in chemical engineering.  He has held a variety of technical and managerial positions at Abbott Laboratories.  Justin has over a decade of ISO and cGMP industry experience including expertise in quality regulations and pharmaceutical manufacturing.  He has successfully led multiple, high-profile projects at Abbott and Kymanox.  Justin holds a Bachelors of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago and is currently completing his Masters of Business Administration from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management.

Timothy Miller, MS, MBA

Technical Project Management

Tim has worked in cGMP manufacturing for ten years, with experience in all functional areas of production as well as in technology transfer and scale-up. He has contributed to four major capital projects, two of which were new facilities and two of which were major expansions. He has worked for MedImmune, BioReliance, and Kraft Foods. Over the course of his career, Tim has been involved in the documentation efforts of clinical production, writing hundreds of SOPs, specifications, and production records. His increasing involvement in this and many other facets of cGMP production have been vital for the successful completion of the projects on which he has worked. Tim has a Bachelors of Science in Biology from Shenandoah University and has a Masters of Science in Biotechnology and a Masters of Business Administration with a Biotech focus from Johns Hopkins University.

Megan Gladfelter

Project Engineering

Megan brings to Kymanox previous experience in various Quality Assurance roles at Abbott Laboratories, supporting both commercial manufacturing and R&D. Megan has experience applying Lean Six Sigma on process improvement projects to reduce non-value added steps and improve throughput. Megan has proven skills to organize and analyze metrics to support world-class, integrated quality systems with the emphasis on customer satisfaction. Additionally, Megan is an experienced presenter and facilitator, having delivered presentations to upper level management, engineering design clients, and for training. Megan holds a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, with a specialization in Biotechnology, from Northwestern University. Megan is a member of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE).

Brandon Patterson

Process Engineering

Brandon is a process engineer with previous employment experience at Abbott Laboratories, including management responsibilities.  He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering, with honors, from Purdue University.

Kevin Brown

Information Technology

Kevin brings over ten years of technology and systems integration experience to Kymanox including extensive expertise in the development of large-scale, on-demand applications.  He is the founder of KMB Innovations and provides consulting services to small businesses.  Kevin graduated with honors from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Management Information Systems.

Bryan Silletti

New Market Development and Applications Engineering

Bryan is at Caterpillar, Inc. (CAT) with ten years of industrial and technical experience emphasizing business and new market development.    Bryan worked with NC State University and the Technology Entrepreneurial Commercialization (TEC) program to co-develop venture capital business plans with local entrepreneurs and legal counsel. Bryan holds an MS in Materials Science with a Minor in Business Management from NC State University and a BS in Chemical Engineering from The University of Notre Dame.

Alyson Stevans

Co-op

Alyson is a rising junior at Northwestern University working towards a Bachelor of Science in Chemical and Biological Engineering. She comes to Kymanox with a mindset of dynamic innovation, a propensity to leadership, and experience in team project management. Aside from academics, she has been involved with the Society of Women Engineers, Northwestern University Model United Nations, GreekBuild (a collaboration between Northwestern Greek Life and Habitat for Humanity), and her sorority, Delta Delta Delta.

Maureen McLaughlin

Office Administration

Maureen has a background in the personal and commercial insurance industry with sixteen years of insurance experience as a business analyst. She is a University of Iowa graduate with an emphasis in Business and Communications. She is involved in her local community with the elementary school as a volunteer for various fundraisers and in the classroom. She is also an active volunteer at the Waukegan Soup Kitchen, the local food pantry and at the Lake County Haven, a homeless shelter for women. Maureen also runs a home-based business that markets and sells gourmet food products.

John McLaughlin

Technical Services and Manufacturing Science

John brings to Kymanox decades of experience in the biotechnology/biopharmaceutical industry.  He has held various roles at Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, Bristol-Myers Squibb (ER Squibb and Sons), Corning Bio, Genencor, Covance, Diosynth (biological division of Akzo Nobel), Human Genome Sciences, and CoGenesys.  He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from Penn State University.
