Sarah is the owner and operator of Kymanox. She funded Kymanox during its start-up and first year of operation and has led the following areas at Kymanox: Business Operations, Sales and Marketing, Client Services, and Human Resources. Prior to Kymanox, Sarah held positions of increasing responsibility for market development at J. P. Morgan Chase , Oakwood Corporate Housing, Texas Guaranteed (TG), Keller Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University, and North Carolina State University. Sarah graduated from Saint Mary’s College with a Bachelor’s of Arts degree. She is a member of Project Management Institute (PMI), Women in BIO, and Parenteral Drug Association (PDA).

At RTI, Peganoff leads efforts to build and strengthen RTI's relationships among state and federal agency officials and policy makers as well as others in the commercial, educational, and nonprofit sectors.

Peganoff joined RTI from the University of Maryland Biotechnology Institute (UMBI) in Baltimore, where he was Director of Government and Corporate Affairs. He was responsible for planning and executing an annual government affairs strategy which cultivated academic-industry collaborations. Peganoff was also a founding organizer of Maryland's biotechnology caucus.

Before joining UMBI, Peganoff worked in the Maryland state legislature, helping draft biotechnology legislation and receiving numerous legislative citations. Previously, he held manager positions at Orthofix, Johnson & Johnson/Ortho-McNeil Pharmaceuticals, and Merck Pharmaceuticals.

He has a master's degree in biotechnology and is a distinguished alumnus from Johns Hopkins University. He has a bachelor's in biology from Gannon University.

Joe Magno has founded, grown and sold a number of technology based companies and has held leadership positions in a number of large multi-national companies as well as executive positions in government and academia, including Executive Director of the NYS Science and Technology Foundation, Deputy Commissioner of the Empire State Development Corporation and Vice Chancellor for Technology for the State University of NY. He has also served on numerous public and private boards.

Jim joined Center of Innovation for Nanobiotechnology (COIN) with the goal of developing industry, university, foundation, and individual participation in and support for COIN’s initiatives. Jim is helping to grow COIN's membership services and continually builds value-added offerings while creating strong relationships with our community.

Jim is the ultimate networker as he has led two entrepreneur support organizations, Blue Ridge Entrepreneurial Council (BREC) and FirstRound. He also founded Blue Ridge Angel Investors Network (BRAIN) in Asheville, NC. His excuse for all this sweat equity has been making something out of nothing to create positive change in the community. Jim doesn't claim to have free time, but does truly love to lose golf balls on a sunny day, watch his alma mater- the Florida Gators- win SEC Championships and participate in raising his son.

Jim landed in nanobiotech by serving as a Business Development Manager for the International Trade Division, North Carolina Department of Commerce where he was responsible for helping North Carolina nanotechnology, alternative energy, information technology and aerospace companies sell to developing international markets.


Harry Silletti, CPA  

Financial Consultant, Captive-Aire Systems, Inc


Harry is currently working as a financial consultant after retiring from Owens-Illinois, where he worked in their International Division in Accounting and Finance for 29 years, half of this time included working at O-I affiliates in Spain, England and Italy. Harry is now a consultant and board member of Captive-Aire Systems, Inc, a $170M ventilation equipment manufacturer based in Raleigh, North Carolina. He is responsible for assisting President in the development of strategic sales plans, evaluating monthly corporate financial performance, coordinating with plant managers to reduce costs and improve financial performance, and negotiating purchase agreement for acquisitions including responsibility for due diligence.

Harry also serves as the volunteer counselor and treasurer for SCORE Toledo (Service Corps of Retired Executives) as well as the board member/treasurer of Anne Grady - a non- profit providing support and habitation services for people with developmental disabilities.

Harry received his B.S. degree in accounting at LaSalle University in Philadelphia and an M.B.A. from the University of Oklahoma.

Stephen is the founder, president, and CEO of Kymanox. He has over 15 years of cGMP biopharma manufacturing experience as a process engineer, project manager, and regulatory advisor. Before starting Kymanox, Stephen held various leadership roles supporting successful scale-up, start-up and commercialization initiatives at M+W Group, Abbott Laboratories, Covance Biotechnology Services, Diosynth Biotechnology and Human Genome Sciences. Stephen graduated with high honors with a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame. He has also studied at the graduate level at Purdue University. Stephen speaks regularly as an industry expert on technology transfer, project management, risk management, and validation.
