Regis Technologies and Kymanox Host Tour and Lecture for Notre Dame Alumni and Friends

Louis Glunz, IV (BS ’84), and Stephen Perry (BS ’97) will host a Tour and Lecture Series for Notre Dame alumni and friends working in the Life Sciences. The event is meant to stimulate professional networking among Chicagoland alumni, exchange ideas and experience between academia and industry, and expose individuals to new people and technology.

The event will be held on site at Regis Technologies at 8210 Austin Avenue in Morton Grove, IL on Tuesday, March 27, 2007 from 4 pm until 7 pm and is geared to science and engineering majors and/or those working in the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Life Science and Chemical Process industries.

The featured event is a lecture by distinguished Notre Dame Professor Joan F. Brennecke entitled Green Solvents for Reactions and Separations. Dr. Brennecke’s research focuses on the development of environmentally friendly solvents and processes. Of special interest to her is supercritical fluid technology, a green technology that replaces traditional petroleum based solvents with liquid CO2.

The evening will include:

  • Green Solvents for Reactions and Separations by Professor Joan F. Brennecke
  • Tour of Regis’ manufacturing and laboratory areas
  • Introductory presentation by Kymanox
  • Catered dinner
  • Time for networking

A $10.00 donation is suggested. All donations will benefit the University of Notre Dame’s General Scholarship Fund.
